MY TRIM/ DUSTING OF MY NATURAL HAIR .

I've shown a couple of videos were I demonstrate how I trim my natural hair. I don't trim my ends for a desired shape, but rather the feel of my hair . I can tell if my hair needs some attention when it's dry to the touch . I run my fingers down the length of a section of hair. As my fingers approach the ends, the smoothness and feeling of the hair changes, and shows where the ends show signs of wear , tear and single strand knots. My hair has always had single strand knots. It's the nature of my coils, to wanna get freaky and tie each other up.  I lightly dust/trim my ends every other month . This doesn't cancel out the retention, but it improves the overall feel and look of my hair, especially when wearing my hair in twists and twist outs. This is the amount that I dusted off. The last dusting was OVER 3 months ago. If you look closely (near the far left) you can see some of the single strand knots (aka fairy-knots)

  2. I will be trimming my hair this week. I have been on no scissors in my hand for 5 months since I have the problem of dusting weekly. I like my hair to feel smooth all the time, but this challenge help me with my addition to scissors...lol

  5. I hate fairy knots. They are a killer. I washed my hair yesterday and I felt like crying. I get them all over my hair. Not just the ends but even the middle of the hair strands. They plague my hair. I don't know what to do. I have always had this problem even relaxed. I am currently a little over three months of transitioning and my hair knots a lot esp. in the middle where it grows thicker. Do you have any advice, I want to long term transition if possible but I need to combat this problem.
